Add an item

Goal: Create an item — a product or service you sell or buy.

Before you start

Decide whether this item is stocked (you track quantity) or not stocked (a service).

In the sidebar, open Stock and select Item, then + Add Item. (Or the Items shortcut on Paldo Home.)

Enter the Item Code and Item Name, choose an Item Group, and set the Default Unit of Measure (Nos, Hour, Kg…).

Tick Maintain Stock to track quantity on hand; leave it unticked for a service.

Enter a Standard Selling Rate so the price fills in automatically. You can override it per transaction.

Select Save.

The item appears in your Item list and can be selected on an invoice or order.
